. This pump is 4 years old and definitely the best drain pump I've ever had

was! The switch assembly has no moving parts, it's just 3 stainless steel pins that sense the water level and a 1hp pump. empties my swamp in record time. It just keeps working with no problems. However, I was disappointed to see that Flotec has ceased production. I have no idea why unless they've sold enough of it, but it's certainly a big improvement over the old mechanical switch pumps.
