Review on Karaoke system X-STAR Karaoke Box by Adam Kotula ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

There are pros and cons, think before buying.

Perhaps the idea of the manufacturers is good, but it needs to be improved. So far, this is a raw product, more like a new portable entertainment toy than a full-fledged home karaoke machine. Too intricate menu, raw functionality, a lot of unnecessary (unnecessary) effects. Problems with uninterrupted Internet connection in the presence of a normal Internet at home. It is obvious that the hardware used does not work well with the functionality implemented in karaoke. Bought, eat. But so far this karaoke is definitely not worth that kind of money. Let's wait for its software upgrade. So far, a solid three.

Pros
  • Raw product, but not without advantages. 1. A lot of cool features in the menu (battle, notes (analogue of scores), etc. 2. There is an equalizer for the backing tracks and for the microphone (it’s bad that through the system menu (via the control panel) the equalizer and volume settings work only for two microphones at once, you can’t rebuild the microphones through the menu separately). You can only adjust the volume of the microphones separately on the microphone base. 3. There are microphone effects. Half of them will do, half of them are useless. For example, why are squeaky or demonic voice effects added? Is this karaoke or a child's toy? 4. There is a history of playing songs. 5. You can watch the lyrics of the song before starting playback. 6. You can post your posts to the public, where other users can like, subscribe and comment.
Cons
  • 1. The built-in Wi-Fi does not work well. Internet connection drops out intermittently. The apartment has good internet - (100 Mbps). 2. "Iron" does not take out the processing, apparently, some kind of interference, breaks. 3. The karaoke system consists of several blocks (karaoke + microphone base) when connected, an extra free socket in the power strip is required. In fact, it turned out to be not very convenient. 4. On the remote control, the volume button removes only the volume of the backing track, the microphones remain. To reduce the volume of the microphones, you need to either start playing a song (only there this option appears), or run to the base.
