Bought this tank to replace a rusty factory tank on my 1987 300 Bayou. As other reviews say, the tank is very well made and sturdy. The only reason for 3 stars instead of 5 is that I had to change a few things to make the tank fit. The bracket on the back of the tank that holds the breather lines must have tabs on either side that bend flat to attach to the tank. The factory tank screw was a bit short so I had to look for a longer screw. It is also necessary to raise the plastic trim around the filler neck "according to regulations". My tank had one of the plastic fairing's brass inserts installed about 1/4 inch further than the other. I had to cut a larger mounting hole. You will need to find a vent hose for the gas cap which is not included. There aren't many tank replacement options for this quad. The end result is no gas leakage! I just expected a better match for the $220 price point.
