Review on Godox SL100D 32100Lux Bluetooth Interface by Non Martin

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good 100 watts, high color rendering index, easy installation, only one problem

The new SL100D looks like an updated version of the SL60W, where the main difference is that it has a output power of 100 watts compared to the 60 watts this one has. Inside the Godox SL100D box is a plastic cover, a very long cable that connects directly to the light box, and a Bowens reflector (this reflector is a new version that they used with their new flashlights). This flashlight does not support an external battery and it does not come with a carrying case or remote control (but it is compatible with the RC-A6 remote control that you can purchase from Revain). So there's no remote control, but the lights have been updated to be able to connect via Bluetooth to the Godox app on your smartphone. No need to register, you can add multiple GODOX lights and control the brightness and brightness. 8 days of different special effects (3 lightning effects, 3 lightning effects, a broken lightbulb and a TV effect). This is a balanced 100W daylight operating at 5600K. It performs decently for product videos, YouTube videos, etc. I recommend using it with a softbox for softer light. This light has 32100 lux at 1 meter with the new reflector and is adjustable from 0 to 100 percent in increments of 1. It is very color accurate and has a high CRI of 96. This is the same CRI as other expensive flashlights from Godox and Aputure and just for comparison the SL60 has a CRI of 94, this flashlight has a Bowens mount so that you can mount different light modifiers (like a softbox), it has an umbrella holder and it has the same locking mechanism as the SL60 which is good but it makes noise when you try to adjust the tilt. They've also improved some parts, such as the part on the front that holds the LED chip, which is now all metal. instead of plastic The device itself looks better, as does the back panel, so it doesn't look as cheap as the older SL60 Brightness, the faster the fan spins. not suitable for interviews or when shooting videos where low light is important. very good option, powerful, with accurate color reproduction, easy to use and definitely does not overheat! And the best thing is the price. If I was recommended to buy this or the SL60, I would advise you to just go with this one. twice as expensive as this one.

Pros
  • Lighting and studio
Cons
  • I have no negative feelings, everything is fine
