This sealer works great with plastic, regular and foil consumer bags (chips). Thick mylar bags can be used, but refrigeration is required between bags. Processing quality: class B+. Although at first glance this device looks very similar to the highest quality commercially available devices, a few shortcomings need to be pointed out: * Thin, poor quality power cord * Typographical errors in the instructions on the side of the device * Visible rippling on the corners and the back of the device (Figure 2) Timer operation As well as other impulse sealers I have used. This creates difficulties when sealing large quantities - making several bags in a row. The knob on the front should set the number of seconds the device will run. This works correctly for a few sachets, but if you do 5,6,7+ sachets, the time will shorten to the point where the device won't stay on for more than half a second. The device appears to be partially compensating for the residual heat but the compensation is not working properly so it is best to wait for the device to cool down if possible or try multiple sealers on the same joint. Supplied with additional Teflon protective sleeve and heating element. This combined with the price makes it good overall and a good buy for everyday use.
