Good, strong thing. The passenger side of the Y-pipe on my 4.0L V6 Ranger 94 was not properly sealed to the exhaust manifold. I eventually removed the Y-tube and found that Ford used "purpose designed" flanges, meaning they were designed to use as little metal as possible. Works when new. But little age and rust and . The rest of the Y-tube was still tight, so this repair is a lot cheaper than a new Y-tube. Well, shortly after the OEM flange, I had to deal with the Y-pipe bend. So I measured and cut this end of the Walker repair flange much shorter and butt welded it to the Y tube where I cut off the OEM end. Everything reassembled and voila, everything was sealed, no longer sounding like an old rattle. Before ordering I didn't have enough information on what this end would be, otherwise I would have ordered two and replaced the flanges on either side of the Y-tube. The flange plate on them is solid steel (old school design) and not a minimalist design like the original.
