It's cheap so expect it. With larger brushes, the hair will naturally stick out on the sides, so if some finishing work is needed, use scissors to trim the sides first. I've used them for toy paint, and although I've tried to "save" them by cleaning them with solvents and turpentines and then drying them, they end up with brush bristles in every direction except where they should be ( in a straight line). ) so I've used up and thrown away the rest. I ended up buying some that cost 5 times as much, but they're still good after a few uses.
