I have an office/home studio with a separate work station where I operate/maintain my instruments and firearms. I found that this item basically needs a table lamp that also works as a task light. So far this lamp does both well! The default brightness settings are fine, but the standard 5-level brightness adjustment is enough for me. Touch commands are VERY responsive. Low settings are nice and high settings are nice and bright. I also appreciate the pure white light that LED bulbs offer - no dull yellow light from some other bulbs. Either screw or use a clamp to attach the base to the table surface. My only other wish is a bit more freedom of movement on the lamp arms. It's not a bad thing, but I want the LED bracket to be parallel to the main bracket. Overall I am very happy with my purchase. Well done guys!
