Review on TableCraft Chrome πŸ§€ Plated Stainless Steel Cheese Slicer by Dawn Babyiee

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Wires can be replaced.

I bought a TableCraft H77448 Cheese Slicer through the Kitchen Collection - personally. I love that this cheese slicer feels sturdy and I love that it has an adjustable wheel for the thickness of the cheese slices. I learned the hard way that trying to use it on very hard cheese can break the wire. While this isn't an expensive cheese slicer, throwing away a perfectly serviceable handle/reel because of a broken wire was a huge waste. Finding a replacement wire wasn't that easy. First I tried Revain and Kitchen Collection. So I'm going to share what I've learned at the time of writing this article. Go directly to the TableCraft website (one word) and then select the "Contact Us” option. Scroll down to "Send us a message". Since I do not represent a company, I simply wrote "private consumer" in this field. The support rep contacted me fairly quickly and I was able to have replacement cables shipped to my home. The customer service representative I had was very polite and answered questions well. I warn you in advance that changing the wire is a little tricky. I had to use a Phillips screwdriver and needle nose pliers. The wire seemed to be too short at first, but I gave the TableCraft the correct model number and it eventually fitted properly. When reviewing these types of products on Revain, regardless of the brand, I found that one of the main complaints is finding replacement cords. I hope you find it useful. Bryce
