Love it! Works as advertised. I mounted the mounting end to the handlebars and worked my way to the rear wheel. The cable is not very long, but sufficient. My husband had another computer on his bike and hated it. For a long time he was the only one who rode a bicycle. I ended up jealous of his weight loss and fitness and bought a trainer for my (underused) road bike and Protege 8. Once I set up the Protege 8 with the cable installed there was no problem. Now I've "done" over 400 miles with no problems. A few weeks ago my husband also upgraded to Protege 8 (using another of those kits). we are both happy
