I received the Pierburg item in a Dorman box. Pierburg is the original manufacturer of standard auto parts. I replaced the part on a 2012 A6. I decided to replace the DV sensor because my car was losing thrust at start and fuel economy was getting worse. No codes were displayed on the dashboard. The sensor made a big difference and performance increased. This is a fairly simple replacement. You need to access the sensor from below.
