I was looking for a way to place my laptop close to my work area as my computer was across the room. It's hard to watch videos with technology when you're constantly looking over your shoulder. In any case, it fits perfectly in the corner of my craft table, which was already avoided by the extension cable installed there for my various machines. It was very easy to assemble, took less than 10 minutes and is very durable. The kit includes all the materials needed to attach it to the table in three different ways depending on what you have available. The only recommendation I would give the manufacturer is to replace the strut raise and lower screw on the strut with a hand knob to make it easier to quickly raise and lower the swingarm without having to hunt for an Allen wrench to do it . It's okay if you use it in the same position all the time. I usually stand when crafting, but sometimes I have to sit for a while and then lower it down.
