Packaging and product are different. Ordered green and got metal. It's smooth, but the elastic is very stiff, so I'm not sure how easy it will be to get things out regularly. So far it is very difficult to withdraw a card. Perhaps over time there will be a good balance between having enough resistance to hold cards to avoid losing them and having the right flexibility to pick a card from a deck.
