Unless a bunch of broken devices are made (doubtful) I assume any negative reviews are either fake or connecting the headset via iOS/PC. I trust the review site rtings who rated Opus very highly and they were right. It was said that their test setup involved the use of AptX, so I think this is the key to better Opus performance. The ANC is excellent and corresponds to the detailed test. In addition, the sound is, as expected, very balanced and detailed on all levels. The bass is just very, very deep, as expressed in the rtings test, where the low and mid-bass is about -2 dB below "optimal". However, I find that at near-mid volume it's quite loud and the bass opens up a bit. To me it's near perfect and a steal for the price I paid, especially for the premium ANC. I've been using Opus while mowing on my tractor and I can barely hear the tractor! I can listen at a medium volume, in which case the sound is loud enough to avoid hearing loss. Very happy with this device!
