smaller segments separated from the remainder. I left a one star review. Before throwing the stand away I decided to take everything apart and try to fix it. It worked. It turned out that the clip at the end of each segment was held in place by a hex head screw, and after removing that clip on large segments I was able to slide the free segment into place and then tighten it, making it work like new. As impractical as it is, I'm changing my rating from one star to four because the kickstand does what it says on the tin.
