I would like to start by saying that I hardly ever write reviews. Only when something is really good or really bad. This product was the newest. Everything started well. beautiful frame. Very quick setup. We bought this as a Christmas present for my mum (65 and a bit tech savvy) who lives on an airplane so we could surprise her with photos of our family from time to time. We really liked the email option. Our kids set up their own email address and it was a bit inappropriate so I contacted support to find out how to delete it and set up a different one. It took about a day but they got back to me and dropped the frame. I found it impractical that we couldn't do it ourselves, especially since all photos uploaded to the old address have since been deleted, but that didn't bother us at first. We started uploading photos to the new address and noticed that a mail icon and timer appeared in the top right corner. Corner. The product did not disappear for more than two weeks. This means he tried to download and couldn't. Photos were also delayed in places, and I received messages that "our gap is not responding". The menu button on the back didn't respond either. Something was obviously wrong. I turned the frame on/off, restarted my wifi router, put the frame next to the router, etc. etc. Everything, what was said on the website in the troubleshooting section. I even deleted all the photos thinking we sent too many to fit in the vault. Vain. I have a home office so it's not that I had problems with WiFi. There was no real support number to contact, which is the norm these days and that's normal, but email customer service didn't answer me for almost a week. I wanted everything ready for a gift and needed time to go back and get a new one and set it up for Christmas. Thank goodness Revain stepped in right away and sent me a shipping label and a full refund (even though it was a third party). Since I wouldn't make the same mistake twice, I started to research more about similar products. There are much better and cheaper frames out there. Getting to the basics: 1. There aren't many "custom" options here. The settings button is a joke that lets you just select the wi-fi address or tell the email address 'how it works'. There are no other real settings. You can choose a different speed (in seconds) but I've found that it reverts to 10 seconds from my 5 seconds per frame. Possibly part of the original defect. Another review called it "One Trick Pony" and they were right. To delete photos you have to go to each one and do it one by one. Select.delete. Select.delete. The view is archaic.3. Other frames enable/disable the motion sensor. Nice as this frame requires a wired outlet and you have to turn it off manually if it's next to your bedside table for example and you don't want the frame to be on when you sleep. 4. The touch screen is inferior to the first version of all touch screen devices. Slow, tenderness was terrible etc. Archaic again.5. Doesn't play video. Many of them don't, and those that cost more. But just say don't buy if you want to play videos. In short, it was one of the most expensive frames. The lack of features, seemingly "old-fashioned" technology, and poor customer service make this difficult for me. In addition, mine was delivered defective.
