Review on StarTech Com 91Cmm Black SuperSpeed Cable by Lawrence Reuter

Actually slowed down the transfer rate. I replaced the 6ft cable because it was too short for my desktop setup and the transfer speeds from external SSDs were almost as good as when connected directly to my Macbook Pro. However, this leads to a drastic drop in transfer speeds (I constantly transfer several GB of video files for work). I'm not sure if it's the length of the cable combined with the tasks I'm doing, so it's probably not the cable's fault (however, 10ft is a bit behind the 16ft signal loss standard). In addition, like all StarTech cables, the cable is Premium.
