Review on 🚽 Brondell Thinline SimpleSpa SS-150 White Non-Electric Bidet Toilet Attachment with Self Cleaning Nozzle & Fresh Water Spray by Emmanuel Chouinard

Works with Big John/raised toilet seats, ideal for seniors

My elderly dad needs a raised toilet seat because he is too weak to lift off a regular toilet. That means it's also too weak to get up and wash properly, a problem I knew a bidet could help with. Unfortunately, it seems like most bidet heads won't work with most raised toilet seats, particularly the Big John W1 toilet seat that I chose for my dad. The toilet seat is perfect and he loves it so I decided to test as many bidet heads as necessary to find one that fits him. I literally bought five different jets but decided on three because I found these :) I can tell you that out of the Luxe Neo 120, Astor Bidet CB-1000 and Brondell Thinline, only this Thinline is used in combination with Big John can W1. Although this creates a little play, just enough to allow the seat to move from side to side, when seated the seat remains firm if you use your hands to check stability, which is very important. As for raising an 84-year-old child. old how to use that thing. My dad found the handle to turn easily but was confused that it was flat. It wasn't intuitive to him. It also doesn't know which way to turn it. So if you are planning to buy it for someone with cognitive problems, you may need to help your loved one to use it for the first few times. But now that he's got the hang of it, my dad found it very useful. He used to have to wash himself at the sink with colour-coded rags - difficult for him as he couldn't stand for more than 20 seconds at a time, and dangerous because water spilled onto the floor which could cause him to slip and fall. This bidet head has completely replaced the entire vanity cleaning step. Of course he still has to shower and dry off a bit, but he doesn't have to get up as long to do it and the potential risk of a wet floor is no longer an issue. I sincerely think this bidet faucet has helped expand my father's ability to remain somewhat independent in his own apartment for a while longer, which to me is worth far more than the cost. I'm grateful that Thinline offered a solution to his hygiene issues and also allowed him to use the seat he needs for stability and security. I hope this review helps save time and trips to UPS to return 5 different bidet heads for my family mate. Caretaker there :)
