I bought this because of the size of the diameter (one of the largest) and was told it could rotate intermittently. I am using this for a museum photography project to document collections so the size is great; but it doesn't work intermittently - unless you find 5 seconds every 120 degrees to be sufficient. I need it to take pictures with the player, so it just doesn't work. Also, the motor vibrates, so if the object has very light parts, it will also vibrate/shake. So not suitable for videos either. Will come back and get a 'different' product which I didn't buy the first time because it was more expensive.
