Correct, but stupid.
Drawing on paper is fun and easy, and the area of each side is large, if you want a large square space to draw. I had no problems with the spiral binder. What keeps this album from buying again is the quality of the paper. That's good, except when it comes to deleting. First erase 1 or 2 times and you will be fine, erase 3 or more times and you will tear the paper until it becomes unmanageable. This will quickly thin and smudge the paper, making it very difficult to apply wet media to it and running the risk of bleeding.
