Review on 📸 Datacolor SpyderX Pro SXP100 – Advanced Monitor Calibration for Professional Photographers and Designers by Tommy Clement

I bought this to calibrate and color match two identical ASUS monitors (same age, bought at the same time). After following the same procedure for both monitors, I tested accuracy by placing a Chrome browser window between them and looking for a gray tab bar. The monitor on the left had a green cast. So I repeated the calibration and got the same results. After emailing support I waited 24 hours and got a response. The tech suggested I turn on the RGB slider calibration feature and do a "pre-calibration" using that feature and adjust the RGB sliders on the monitors themselves. I did it. Then I did a full calibration on both monitors again. Same results. After a second email to support I was told that it was not possible to match my monitors with the SpyderX Pro. that I had to upgrade to the Elite model. I asked if it was possible to update the software. There is no answer to that. So now I've sent it back. I had to say I am confused as to what this device actually does as it is clear that it does not do what I would use it to do! If you have a multi-monitor setup and want the colors to match across your monitors, I would definitely recommend trying a different calibration tool. It probably won't make you happy.
