Review on 🔍 Fellowes Powershred 79Ci: 100% Jam Proof Cross-Cut Shredder with 16 Sheet Capacity in Black/Dark Silver by Jaie Bobin

Bought a Fellowes 79Ci to replace my Ativaa paper shredder which broke after 10 years of good service. Use it in my home office so it looks pretty basic. I rarely shred more than 40-50 sheets of paper at a time. So far the 79Ci is doing its job well. The pros are that it's quiet, much quieter than my old shredder, not too bulky and it can handle more sheets at once than my old pad. I don't like the "deeper" paper sensor that much, which makes shredding receipts, which I do very often, more difficult than with my Ativa shredder. The built in bin works well but using bags is a waste of time as they too easily restrict the bin and therefore the bin latch which needs to be engaged for the shredder to operate. Others commented on the wheel setup and I just hit them hard with a plastic mallet and they went in easily. Let's hope the 79Ci is reliable as it doesn't come cheap, but you get what you pay for.
