Bought a Fellowes 79Ci to replace my Ativaa paper shredder which broke after 10 years of good service. Use it in my home office so it looks pretty basic. I rarely shred more than 40-50 sheets of paper at a time. So far the 79Ci is doing its job well. The pros are that it's quiet, much quieter than my old shredder, not too bulky and it can handle more sheets at once than my old pad. This is a decent shredder but what keeps me from giving it 4 stars is the bin. I only started using it yesterday and I'm having trouble putting the bin back on after unloading the shredded paper. The container does not always return to the correct position, which leads to the inoperability of the grinder. Since my car is on wheels, I have to hold it with one hand to keep it from rolling and use the other to try and latch the basket so I can use the car. I don't know if my machine is broken but…

After much research I bought this grinder to replace a larger Fellowes grinder which worked great for many years until I knocked it over and the grinder's teeth shifted to have . . This shredder only required a sheet of paper to touch the hole and it pulled the paper in without the need for a push. I believe this model is safer as you have to push the paper down before it snaps into place, but having to gently insert the paper into the hole before the grinding teeth pull it in makes the process
