I bought this size 12/14 coat for my grandson who is 10 years old, a very skinny kid. I thought I'd buy a coat for him to wear this year and next. Unfortunately, he will only wear it this year. But it's a very nice coat, well cut, it looks light, but it keeps you warm, that's the main thing! I gave this coat a 4 purely for the fit.
