All in all a great shelf. Just a few flaws

Once installed this two tier shelving system looks really great and clears all the clutter off the bathroom counter. All the instructions are in pictorial form (no text) so I can see how someone with no hands might have trouble building, but there are so few parts that it's fairly easy to put together. The kit includes drywall anchors, but I'm done. I use the ones I already have, they are slightly larger and made of a harder plastic. I can't confirm if the ones supplied are enough to hold the shelf to the wall, but I wouldn't risk it when it comes to glass breakage. Drywall anchors are cheap and can be found at any local hardware store. 2 cons I noticed: 1. Since you have to attach the flat vertical brackets to the wall before inserting the silver shelf posts and glass, it can be a little tricky to keep the brackets straight without a level. It also helps a lot to have a second hand to support the horizontal shelf posts to make sure the brackets are the right width so the holes line up before you start drilling. It's definitely doable for 1 person, but obviously two would be better as you'll probably need to make pencil marks on the drywall to make sure everything lines up correctly. For $50 I wasn't expecting pure perfection. The glass shelves have a 1/4" scratch in the same place and the metal parts have several 1/8" scratches. Obviously they were made in a factory that makes furniture in a hurry without super high quality standards. At the same time, the flaws are minor and don't bother me much, since I have things on the shelves that hide most of the flaws anyway. The shelf looks great and serves its purpose perfectly.

Pros
  • A dream come true
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
