Summary: I've had this bag for about a week and have used it for ONE trip that was 180 miles each way. The bag lowers MPG, makes noise and was physically damaged after about 4 hours of use. Longer Review: What I liked about this bag are the cargo hooks, but they are SOLD SEPARATELY. You can see them in action in my photos. I think it's necessary if you're tall, don't like road noise and don't like wind noise. Hooks are the most thoughtful part of bag design. Unfortunately, I think this is an afterthought. The bag MUST be completely full. If this is not the case the material will be pushed towards the back of the bag creating a huge parachute cave in the front of the bag (see photos). Worse, if you try to pre-load everything in front of the bag, the wind will just throw everything back, tightening the straps and causing the entire bag to tip backwards a few inches - even with a non-slip mat (see pics). In our case we had 2 very large garment bags, open and laid out horizontally, with a suitcase at the top in the front and a sports bag at the top in the back. Once we got there, the garment bags were folded like an accordion and the duffel was on its side, pressed against the zippered portion of the bag. The suitcase had just been pushed back UNDER the front strap and became the pinnacle of luggage on the accordion of the dress pockets. Damage you can clearly see in my photos. Remember: This is brand new after ONE use, literally less than 4 hours out of the box. the top of the bag. EVERY end of all 4 straps flapped noisily so I stopped before we covered a few miles on our trip to buy a roll of duct tape to secure the flapping parts. It helped that sound. but not a HORRIBLE MPG. Our Mits typically have a range of 405 miles, but with a bag on the car that dropped to 290. Handling also suffered, with the car rocking a little more than we'd like in crosswinds. Still controlled and safe, but a straight line at 65 mph shouldn't be an attraction to white-knuckles. All in all I think stuffing the car would be better than using this bag which we will be doing next month for our next trip. Since this trip will be about 360 miles, I literally (in gas money) can't afford to have this bag. 1 week after purchase, 8 hours of use and it comes back. Don't waste your money, buy something else with photos that show quality and no flaw. PS; I never tested the waterproofness of the bag but it's a moot point when there are 4 wind holes in the bag.

Pros
  • Durable
Cons
