I used the 1 inch aluminum square tube I had. 4 inch steel goal post. I also bought an adjustable mount from Revain. I assembled everything and it looked really good. The day after I was done with that we got our first really cold season up north and the wind was blowing at 20 to 30 miles an hour. I went out the next day and everything looked fine. THE BAD: All gauges were metric. I used 4 bolts and replaced the rest with SAE fasteners, either hot dip galvanized or silicon bronze with nylon insert nuts. UPDATE: The mounting hardware I mentioned was NOT provided by the solar panel company, it was provided by the panel installer. Please forgive my mistake.
