Bought for dog training. This works very well. The battery lasts all day after 3 months of use. Very durable. My dog plays a lot with the neighbor's dog (who also has one) and none have broken yet. We are very happy with our e-collar. Of course there are cheaper alternatives, BUT you get what you pay for. In this case, it does not harm the dog at all. This is NOT a shock collar. It's more of a "Tens UNIt" line that you would use for pain relief or muscle or back therapy. We chose this brand after seeing TENS from YouTube videos. We would buy another if we had a second Doug. In addition, this block is expandable for two dogs.
