The filter does not hold as much coffee as my previous model, which did not have a container

For those of you who may have had an earlier model and wanted to make a 16 ounce cup with 1/4 cup of coffee like it was in my formula, this machine won't let you do that. Of course, the old machine stated that 14oz was the max and the max line for filter basket coffee was a lot less than 1/4c, but still it was manageable. However, I have a hack that allows you to use 1/4 cup of ground coffee. I just replaced the gray piercing pin portion and filter basket with mine from an older model. Now I can put 1/4 cup of coffee in the basket and everything works fine. However, the maximum cup of coffee I could brew was 14 ounces. But I can live with that. I haven't decided yet if I want to keep the car. While it's nice to have a water tank that I can fill up either at the sink or from a filtered water dispenser in the fridge, it doesn't get much more convenient than filling up my old car every time. Additionally, it takes about 30 seconds and makes a lot of noise when drawing 14 ounces from the tank into the machine. It's loud enough to probably disturb any phone call if I'm on the speakerphone while making coffee. Another benefit of the old tankless machine is that I couldn't make the mistake of using a cup that was too small, as long as I filled the machine with water from the cup I was brewing in. With this machine, you should be awake enough in the morning to ensure that the cup you choose fits the cup size you are using. a piece of plastic that got into my cup. So I ran it again and everything became clear. Let's hope no more plastic shavings are found.
