I've long been a fan of Corsair products. I've been working from home since March and am having serious low memory issues on my PC. I have an older i7 970 on an x58 board (with DDR3 in a tri-channel configuration) and when I built it 6GB was sufficient. Faced the problem of buying multiple sets. I decided to pull out all the stops and max out the supported 48GB board (8GB x6 slots). As mentioned, it works on 1333 unless you enable the XMP profile. I'm in no rush to build a new PC as I don't play AAA games (World of Warcraft is the most intense game I play) so I just wanted to upgrade some components on my PC to keep up with the increasing system requirements to keep for many games. For the price, this is a great option for those simply upgrading an older system that they can't (or can't) replace.
