Ideal for pre-wiring a home during renovation work. No hassle unboxing (in other words, no tangles or mess). Make sure you have good wire cutters, the bundle is thick with four 12 gauge wires! It might be overkill for my speakers/systems but now I know I have extra capacity and saved a lot of money on a DIY install. Haven't plugged anything in yet, so can't comment on the sound quality, but judging by the thickness of the shell and the 12 gauge cable I'm not expecting any playback issues. Personally I wouldn't try to install them already with Sheetrock to stand it up as the wire is heavy and I think it's difficult to pull out. I'm not saying it can't be done, I just think it can be frustrating.
