Great for button and joystick replacement housings, but swapping out joysticks is extremely hard work. I've only half succeeded since I changed it without much damage, but it's still not the same. The stick is still drifting. I have experience with PCB rework and even have a very good digital soldering kit. What I don't have is a good board heater which combined with the inability to completely remove the board made the job a pain resulting in the delamination of three pads on the board. One was structural, and I was able to salvage the other two by soldering a thin piece of wire into the via connected to ground. I probably won't attempt any more repairs, at least not without additional special tools.
