An extremely worthwhile purchase.

This review is based on my use with a 2016 F150 XLT 4x4 with 5.0 V8. First, it is very easy to install. However, when disconnecting the wiring harness from the truck's foot controller, first lift the tab, then the tab in the connector, push inward (to the side), and then remove the controller. Knowing this upfront will reduce frustration. Anyway, on to the review: As a basis, my truck has a performance tuner from the More Power Tuning SCT+ Tuner. It has a custom off-road exhaust where I used two back-to-back Magnaflow mufflers. It's quiet, meaning you can't hear it when idling, but when you step on the pedal it sounds like a truck. He has CAI from S&B. Everything else in terms of performance is standard. I routed a cable between the dash and the steering column to keep it looking clean and tidy. When I left the garage I decided to enjoy driving with Sport + 4. I didn't think this controller would make a huge difference. Boy was I wrong! When I first hit the gas, I realized that I would probably slow down a bit. If you own this truck, you know it has a "Sport" mode on the shifter. This Pedal Commander block completely replaces this button on the shifter. It's not that you can't use it, but it's overdone enough that it interferes with driving. I'll probably reserve the default truck sport mode when Pedal Commander is off. In other words when my wife is driving the truck ;) This block makes the truck faster due to the lack of a gas hole, which is basically the same as the standard truck sport mode, only this block can make it much more aggressive or much less. aggressive, depending on how you set it up. I find that for me the Pedal Commander's Sport mode (compared to Sport+) offers more control. Probably sport level 2-4 for most drivers. For traffic in traffic, I would definitely switch to "City” or switch it off completely (female mode). Love the fact that you can switch it on the fly unlike my performance tune. I haven't had much time other than playing around with it, but I can see that thing is a lot of fun! Here is a photo of my setup. Update in about a month: I still love this gadget. I even considered getting one for my work truck, but $300 is a bit steep. However, I find that for the best control (power versus handling) Sport mode level 2 is best, even though I have stock tires. With bigger tires you can take it up a notch or two. Also just as cool is that if you can actually give up your lead foot (I know it's hard), you can use this thing to save some gas because you just have to touch the pedal to get moving. I can't imagine not having it now. It is very funny!
