Great product - great solution

The airbags worked great. Photos before and after. Not in the photo after the squat. The bags are inflated to 40 psi. Worth the price. Fixed unsightly squat and noticeable difference in rear suspension feel when towing. The suspension no longer feels heavy. You will not be disappointed with this product.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Reliability

I don't know squats anymore.

Bought a new 2019 Ram 1500 and decided to buy a camper to tow it. I have a 32ft trailer and the truck had enough power to pull it but it wasn't very stable even with a friction type transfer hitch. So I decided to try airbag assistants. These airbags were different day and night, with only 30 pounds per square inch of air in them. The truck handles the trailer better, the truck handles the trailer better on windy days and feels more confident on the road and certainly less squat.

  • Pleasant to use

Level my truck while towing!

Installation was easy! After installing them on my 2016 Ram Ecodiesel, I filled the bags to 20psi, hooked up our 6000# trailer, then towed it to storage. This helped a lot with sagging and swaying of the hitch weight. I installed the valve stem in the fuel filler flap to hide it. The photo shows that I drilled a hole for the valve stem just above the DEF cover (see image). If you don't have eco-diesel, yours will look a little different. It turned out very nice. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

I was skeptical at first, but now I'm convinced! They are amazing!

I was a bit skeptical at first but decided to give it a try. Installed them on my 2010 Dodge RAM 1500 4X4. Here's a tip that will save you A LOT of TIME and frustration: get a set of spring compressors (they are available for free from O'Reilly or Autozone), pick up the truck, pull the spring out (VERY EASY) and simple Easily insert the airbag directly into the spring, connect the air line and reinstall the spring. I can't imagine how it can be done like they show in their tutorial video. The…

Pull coils for easy installation!

Rated 4 stars for installation so far. I still have to connect our horse trailer, but the installation went great. I jacked up the car by the axle and put stands under the frame. After removing the tires, the shock absorbers were unhooked, the axle lowered and the coil springs removed. (Spring compression is not required and be sure to mark the springs for reinstallation) Install the bags with the air lines attached and reinstall the coils. I raised the axle until the coils were tight and…

Detailed easy installation method

Great deal and easy installation. I have a 2013 Ram 1500 that I use to tow a 6500lb and 800lb 32ft street trailer. I bought these along with the Blue Ox SwayPro weight distribution device to help with swaying and sagging. These works are amazing! Less than 1 inch of sag with them combined with WDH. Took me about 2 hours to install them. I didn't remove the wheels or fenders like the others. Instead I put the back on jacks. could. I then lowered the spare tire and removed it so I had plenty of…

Great product and even better customer service.

I bought a 2018 Ram 1500 last summer. We use it to tow a 7,000 pound trailer. When towing a trailer, the truck bed is usually filled with tools, firewood, extra propane tanks, a generator, etc. Also, my family has 5 people plus a dog. I like our 1/2 ton ram, but its weak point is the rear coil springs. They offer a fantastic unencumbered ride to work. But they are not designed for serious work. Air Lift 1000 bags solve this problem. They reinforce the rear coil springs to prevent sagging and…

Top quality product and easy installation

I first bought a 5000 Air Lift or 2017 Ram 1500 Crew Cab but didn't realize I would need to make permanent changes to my frame her up. I didn't feel comfortable doing this with a 200 mile truck. I returned and bought them to tow my 31ft camper with a 640lb drawbar. I also carry 200 pounds in bed when we go camping. Delivery was quick and all items arrived in good condition. I have read many installation reviews and they have been mixed on how to install the bags. I love that most don't have a…

Do not buy! for air suspension kits

UPDATE! After connecting the airbags a second time, leaving just enough line to prevent twisting, I inflated them to up to 20 pounds. They held up and I got them down to 10lbs which was the bare minimum. It was in September. I checked the bags tonight to transport my camper van tomorrow and found that both were deflated. I inflated an airbag to 35lbs and tried to inflate another to no avail. Since it was late, dark, and cold, I didn't crawl under the truck to check the lines, but the airbag…
