This is great for carrying my 77lbs. Silver Lab if I take it with me. Took me about 5 minutes to install it on my GMC Terrain. I lifted him into the seat but the first time I had to get up and block the floor because he was trying to get there. After he jumped in the seat, I attached the purchased harness to his collar and buckled the side guards. It's big enough to peek through the front and still see me. He seemed very comfortable and happy. When he changed positions, the seat protector seemed to stay in place and not slip under him. When we got home I removed the lid. It had rained before so the blanket had dried dirt from his paws, dog hair and lots of saliva. My leather seats looked like he'd never been in a car before. I think I'll put this in my seat when my son plays baseball or practices to keep clay mud off my seats.
