This is a piece I use weekly if not daily. I had an ankle replacement two years ago. I find I still like having some compression support. Caring for such capes on the ankle is not difficult. Sometimes I get lazy and wash in the washing machine and then dry in the dryer along with other things. It is best to simply machine wash and air dry or hang dry. A hot dryer spoils the elasticity of the clothes. Sometimes I prefer a full compression sleeve with a heel inside. At the end of the day I sometimes worry about the heel because of the neckline. I think this is a personal event due to the swelling in my particular ankle. The product is well made, durable and I buy it often. I would definitely recommend to anyone who needs level 1 ankle compression support.
