Update: Although these shoes initially looked like they wouldn't last long in the water, they actually held up very well. We wear them in the water for long periods almost every day and they still feel great! We have had these shoes for about 6 weeks now, have been using them as water shoes for 4 weeks and they are starting to fall apart. . The material on the outside is peeling (see photo) and some places where the sole connects to the rest of the shoe are coming loose. They also take several hours to dry if they get wet, at least 3-4 hours if left in the hot sun, and at least 24 hours if left indoors or in a shady spot. I've bought much cheaper sandals that have lasted much longer than these. However, it would probably be great if you didn't wear them in the water. And they are comfortable for my 2.5 year old, they don't blister or bleed like some sandals.
