Superb dishwasher NO LEAK, head too soft but scotch nozzles fit!

EDIT 12/11/14: Just bought four more here in Revane for a lifetime supply as my current Dawn Dishwasher Stick is a few years old and I am not more can find it at Walmart or Kroger. Good products are more likely to be discontinued. Remember that 3M Scotch tips fit these Dawn sticks (and Scotch tips clean better with great glue heads; the glue on Dawn heads isn't great, but the heads won't scratch glass pot lids or silver plates. SERIOUSLY: THAT IS THE ONLY DISHWASHER THAT DON'T LEAK WHEN IT WORKS I kept it in a glass jar for a few days and it was full of dish soap and nothing spilled The trick is to make sure the blue end is screwed in tightly Remember this This is the ONLY VERSION of Dawn dishwashing sticks that works. Of all kitchen sticks, anytime, anywhere. I don't know why or how they got THIS right, but I suspect it's the design of that blue end and the design of that little faucet is behind the sponge. That's why I got a lifetime supply (assuming I live another 20 years before I stop washing dishes can.) Original review follows below, unedited ========== This is the ONLY any branded dishwasher I've ever used (including the worst and most disparate version of "Dawn") that DOES NOT LEAK. I usually keep it on my back just below the swinging faucet, on a cross between two sinks. I'm used to doing it this way because all the other wands leak through the bottom (and the 3M wand also through its blunt center tube). But last week, while spending HOURS trying to find the best wand, I really tested this one by standing it upright in a glass jar in the top left corner of the sink - and it didn't leak. I thought it would be like this, and then I would just fill the glass with water, through it into the basin. However, the stick has not expired. Yay. Well, as other reviewers have pointed out, Dawn's own head will detach from its mount (bad glue I think). And the scrubber on the Dawn holder is nowhere near as good as the 3M scrubber. So here it is: the 3M mop handle is stupid, a real piece of MADware (named after you-know-what with its blunt pop-up tops that destroy freezer stability); But the 3M scrub head is fantastic. The Dawn scrub head is terrible, but its grip is great and it's designed specifically for 3M and other scrub heads (even cheap types like Mainstays). So solve the problem by mixing the 3M head with the Dawn grip and you're done. So I am buying another one having just bought 3M heads. Of course, this dishwasher is no longer sold commercially because it really works. So stock up here or you won't be able to buy it anymore. I will do this too. Too bad I have to buy heads to get a wand. But it's okay, the nozzles are also useful for other purposes (e.g. shaking off lint and rinsing some fabrics).

Pros
  • Unchanged test results
Cons
  • Could have opted for a newer model
