Review on Pre-Wired Elitech STC-1000WiFi-TH Thermostat Temperature and Humidity Controller by Kevin Woods

First, my tracker blocker told me that the app was trying to contact Baidu and Alibaba in China. That's a bit confusing. To make matters worse, I tried uploading a screenshot but Revain won't let me. I use TrackerControl, a free, open-source Android app that aims to stop the Elitech iCold app from tracking me and sending my data to China. easily understandable environmental regulations. I had trouble connecting to the wifi at first, but after disabling the VPN everything worked quickly and straight away. (I turned my VPN back on and can easily access my controller after it was originally added.) Can't comment on humidity control at the moment, but as for temperature, it's amazing. I'll update my review later with my thoughts on moisture control. The application can adjust the conditions on the fly or turn them off as needed. And it works great for what it's designed for. Despite my privacy concerns, I'm glad I chose this one. My only concern is that he logs out of the app so often, but I think that's a plus for security as well. I also turned off all notifications except sensor errors because they would alert my phone every time it was turned on/off. Some other features that would be useful: - Export of card data, especially in encrypted form or sending by email via SSL. - Clean chart data. History without deleting the device. I'm sure some people would like to see 2FA with Google Authenticator or Authy and stay logged in instead of permanently closing the session. I would feel more secure if two-factor authentication prevented attackers from hacking into my login and frying or freezing my precious pet lizard. :-/
