Good price and excellent customer support from the manufacturer.
I bought a KC100 to work with my XTOOL D8 so I can program keyfobs into my Mini. What really convinced me was the excellent customer support from the manufacturer. I had a few specific jobs that required a scanner for my 2011 Mini Countryman N18, and BMW doesn't always make it easy to do it yourself. I contacted XTOOL via email to ask if the D8 could do what I needed and received a quick and polite response and they were able to functionally confirm this using my VIN number and advised me to buy a KC100 would need to read the FOB IDs In. Ability to program two $25 FOBs from eBay instead of paying dealer prices higher than the cost of the KC100.
