There are many reviews here that you can use a spatula or glazing tool. You can, but they obviously haven't worked much with 1/16" thin glass. You have to look at the construction of the tool, there are two bends so the handle is parallel to the point of insertion, which means all the force goes forward ( into the wood) and not down into the glass spatula too flexible glazing tool, the force angle is both down (into the glass) and forward bottom line does not break the glass also it is designed to have two end points which make a small indentation in the wood and set the point, you just need to press hard, which allows you to make this tool.
