Scissors are generally good for everyday use but not ideal for fabric. But a medium-sized pair doesn't cut fabric very well, and the tops of a pair don't cut fabric at all. And at nearly $14, this set isn't worth it. The thread cutters don't connect past the first tiny part of the scissors so you have to be exact where your thread touches the tip of the scissors or it won't cut. send back :-(
