I bought my Pentax AD 8x25 WP binoculars for both beach vacations and everyday use. Optically, these binoculars are excellent. My full-size binoculars are Zeiss, but the Pentax offer great performance for their compact size. The main limitation is the twilight factor, which is a compromise with smaller binoculars. However, you will likely have a great view from sunrise to sunset. Small targets won't work as well at dusk, but that's to be expected. Will $800 Compact Binoculars Give You a Better View? Maybe, but not $700 better. Choose Pentax and enjoy!
