After one of our previous wooden seats fell so hard it snapped, I researched slow closing seats on Amazon, read reviews and checked prices before deciding on this particular seat based on all the positive reviews. I was initially very happy with this product, but unfortunately it only lasted about two months. About two months later, one of the silent closing mechanisms of the seats stopped working, and after three months the second stopped working too. They were easy to install, but at three months and $75, we have to "press hard" on the toilet seats until they're fully closed or the lid will stay where you left it. closed. It's a real shame to spend $75 for two places that only lasted 3 months.
