It's cheap but it works. I'm more of an amateur than a pro, so take the following with a grain of salt. Cheap - relatively accurate: Did a test with some resistors, caps and some other DMMs. Based on my measurements and some calculations, it passes the smell test. Cons: Doesn't accurately measure DC voltage as AC voltage depending on how you connect the wires (diode blocks current going the other way). It only measures half of the AC wave and then averages and calculates the value assuming it is measuring a sine wave. Leg. Edited to add: the higher range (200-2000MΞ©) isn't accurate for something that drops 10MΞ©. It registers 56 or 57 MΞ© with a resistance of 10 MΞ©. Measurements of 100 and 200 MΞ© resistors were accurate in the higher range. To get a better idea of what's going on, it's important to start with the bottom section (the one showing the decimal point). Change to a higher range when the counter shows "1". I would still say this is a good value.
