I bought 2 types of these lights from 2 different manufacturers. In another variation, the lanterns were wrapped in cardboard so the "tail" of the filament was inside the wrapper and the part you unwrapped was the solar panel. That means when you "roll out" the 72-foot bulbs, you'll have the remaining bulbs in your hand where they won't tangle. In this version, it's the other way around. This means you must unwrap the ENTIRE STRING before you can hang them or do anything with them. It was bad enough until I stumbled upon a spot about 30 feet away where they were winding a "knot" onto a spool. My options were to try and thread 30 feet of already unwound and tangle-prone wire through the small hole where the knot was. knots and when I finished it was closer to 15 as it unrolled at my feet (I couldn't get away from it because of the 1st knot). What a disaster. I then spent the next 90 minutes untangling it in the cold. If you don't want this in the future, DO NOT buy them. Get another brand that doesn't coil the wire like that.
