The manufacturer has an instruction manual that I read twice. It is recommended to connect the MacBook Pro charger and the USB-C charging cable to the USB-C If you have trouble connecting and charging doesn't work, you need to reset the SMC MBP, I've done this several times, in fact, the dock worked at first, initially it wouldn't charge, and the external hard drive (Seagate Backup Plus ) came out as no USB 3.0 interface but recognized as a USB 2.0 interface. After resetting the SMC everything worked fine for about 2 days. But on the 3rd day there were problems because the MBP was not loaded again, the MBP itself, but the Apple USB-C -Charger doesn't want to work with the dock itself.I can't charge the MBP through the dock. However, when I plug in I use the charger t directly with the Apple USB-C e cable on the MBP everything works perfectly. There seems to be a compatibility issue that I can't figure out. Unfortunately I have to send it back. Also note that you cannot use micro SD and SD cards at the same time and the limit for these cards is 128 GB according to the manual. So 256GB cards most likely won't work.
