Holy cow! I've read some reviews that said you shouldn't buy it to heat an entire room, but this thing is effective. I use it to warm up my toddler's room right before bed so we don't have to heat the whole house and after about 25 minutes her 10x11 initially frigid room is getting hot to hot! After the room warms up, I unplug and take it to my living room so the kids can't play with it, and the handle is great for portability.
