I bought these door edge pads not to protect the edge of my door but to protect my wife's car door when we are both in the garage together in case the door slides off and another vehicle meets. I have them on both cars now. I assume this will get rid of door chips from accidentally knocking on the door. They fit and look great. I hope they last as long as I have the machines. EDIT: 4 months later. I put them on all 4 doors of my two white cars. Over time the glue has turned a TERRIBLE yellow which is clearly visible through the plastic edge protector. The protection still looks good, but the adhesive is in dire need of replacing with something that stays clear.
