Problem with newer cars

I've used them before. successful. On my newer (2019) vehicles, the inside of the door thickens earlier than usual, preventing the inner "edge" of the skin from sitting in place. After a few weeks they fell off. They need to be redone with a standard outside edge/hem but a shorter inside edge.

Easy to go and stay (for now)

Went without problems. I had a rubber mallet to "encourage" the installation if needed, but it didn't find much use. I didn't actually clean the edges of the truck door first as instructed, so dirt got stuck under the clear strips. For me it's not a big problem as long as it works.

Would buy again Good for door protection

This is a great door panel. I bought it elsewhere six years ago and it still sticks to the door and does a good job of preventing the doorbell from ringing. Unlike other door panels on the market, this one is large and thick enough to fit the thick edges of some car doors. I tried a thinner and cheaper brand and threw it away because it didn't stick to the door. This one does. It will discolour over the years, but that's to be expected from any brand.

Good and easy fit for door guard

Just received the door guard strip. Shipped from North Carolina in a Manila envelope. Installation was very easy, less than two minutes. The manual calls for a garage temperature of 60 degrees. Since we're in Minnesota and it's already November, I can't afford the luxury of 60 degrees. I installed it anyway to protect the new car we bought last week. Let's see if this molding works well even though it's set at 40 degrees. If it survives the winter I will buy another tube when the temperature is

Perfect, just like the good old days!

I bought these door edge pads not to protect the edge of my door but to protect my wife's car door when we are both in the garage together in case the door slides off and another vehicle meets. I have them on both cars now. I assume this will get rid of door chips from accidentally knocking on the door. They fit and look great. I hope they last as long as I have the machines. Low profile protection, just what I was looking for.

I have to park my SUV in a lot of tight spaces and this product is perfect for preventing my doors from being scratched or worn when opened. The molding is flexible enough to fit highly curved molded doors. It is so transparent that it is completely invisible even against the background of dark metallic paint (I have a "ruby red" car). Worked just over a year

Purchased in early Fall 2014 for my GMC Yukon. There was taped paper in the channel as other reviewers mentioned, but I used it anyway. Every time I've washed my car, I could see moisture running the length of the molding. It started falling off about 6 months ago and I just removed it yesterday. This product does not yellow at all. Arrived quickly in a first class envelope. There is nothing that could be damaged in transit so it arrived in perfect condition. The instructions could have been a bit more detailed but they were easy to follow and the guards acted smoothly and without problems. There doesn't seem to be any glue on it, so I'm assuming the friction is holding it in place. I put them on the front doors of a 2013 Ford F150 and I still have plenty of them. Easy to attach to interior

Simply follow the instructions provided, measure twice and cut once on this clear bar. Clean the edges of the car doors where you want to attach the molding with rubbing alcohol and a clean cloth. Then start at one end and gently press the bar into place. Reattach the guard and keep pushing around the edge until you reach the end of the door. Then use a cloth to protect the car's trim and use a rubber mallet to press it into place as firmly as possible. It's really easy. And it worked for me…
